Celebrating the Women Driving AP Fleet Management Forward

This International Women’s Day,  AP Fleet Management is proud to shine a spotlight on three of the incredible women who are helping to define what the future of fleet looks like through bold leadership, innovative thinking, and a willingness to step into spaces where they’ve made a lasting impact.

Geliene Ovsak — SVP of Strategic Alliances & Sourcing Operations

Geliene never set out to build a career in fleet, her background was in Finance and Accounting, but when a Collections role opened within the tow truck and tire portfolio, she took a chance on something new, and it changed everything. That one decision opened doors into operations and strategic alliances, eventually leading to the SVP role she holds today.

With 31 years of experience under her belt, Geliene’s day-to-day centers on identifying and mitigating risk across the organization, making sure the right people are in the right roles and that vulnerabilities get surfaced and addressed before they become problems. But the accomplishment she’s most proud of isn’t a deal or a strategy, it’s the team members she’s developed and mentored who’ve gone on to hold leadership roles of their own. For Geliene, real leadership is about building the pipeline that carries an organization forward long after you’ve moved on.

Ashley Steger – Client Experience Coordinator

Ashley’s introduction to fleet management came through managing logistics for delivery service providers and found herself staring down what she calls “the ultimate organization challenge.” At AP Fleet Management she helps build the structural foundation of the client experience program from the ground up. Balancing daily priorities with the longer-term work of building something new is her biggest challenge, but she’s energized by what the team is creating together.

Ashley has also seen the industry’s assumptions start to shift. When she came in, there was an unspoken belief that women in fleet belonged in customer service. Operations roles have since opened up to far more women, and she sees that as real progress. She says, “Don’t feel like you must be either assertive or approachable. You can be both, and you’ll go a lot farther once you find the balance.”

Amber Ross – Fleet Manager

Nearly 20 years of industry experience, one of Amber’s biggest professional focuses is breaking down the siloed information that makes fleet decision-making slow. She’s building integrated systems that bring data together so teams can move faster and smarter.

For women considering the field, Amber’s message is clear: don’t let the male-dominated reputation intimidate you — if you’re organized, solutions-oriented, and enjoy problem-solving, fleet is a dynamic and rewarding career where no two days look the same.

At AP Fleet Management, we believe that diverse perspectives, experiences, and leadership styles make us a stronger company and a better partner to our clients. As we continue to grow our national footprint and expand our fleet programs, we’re proud to do so with women like Geliene, Ashley, and Amber helping to lead the way.
